TOP 10 PLAYERS WHO COULD STOP THE MESSI-RONALDO TWO-HORSE RACE FOR THE BALLON’DOR

8 – Robert Lewandowski, Bayern Munich

FC Bayern Muenchen v Hannover 96 - Bundesliga

Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski finished in the 16th place in the race for the 2016 Ballon d’Or award, and he took his disappointment to Twitter, mocking France Football through the ‘crying with laughter’ emojis. The Pole scored 42 goals for the Bavarian giants last season, with 26 goals in 26 appearances so far this season. The 28-years-old is one of the most prolific strikers in European football, a real goal machine. Lewandowski could win the Ballon d’Or in the coming years, although it won’t be that easy. He will face stiff competition from other brilliant players.
